Ashley Simpson, Pete Wentz Get Married

The “Outta my head (Ay ya ya)” singer, Ashley Simpson, and local Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz tied the knot last Saturday at her parents’ Los Angeles-area home. Ashley, 23, and Pete, 28, exchanged vows in front of 150 people at the property in Encino, a bedroom community in the San Fernando Valley. Joe Simpson, her father, performed the non-denominational ceremony and sister Jessica was the maid of honor, reported People magazine.

Ashley wore a wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier and a diamond necklace and earrings by Neil Lane. The reception featured a wedding cake piled high with a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top. The People mag, which reportedly shelled out $1 million for the exclusive wedding pics, described the ceremony as “the ultimate rocker event,” complete with 10,000 black magic roses, red-and-black décor and chandeliers dripping with crystals.

The pop-star little sister of Jessica Simpson and Pete began dating in fall 2006 and announced their engagement April 9. Pete admitted the couple have a pre-nup, but refused to confirm that Ashlee is pregnant.
The red and black invitation for the May 17 nuptials reads:
“It’s getting late so save the date: Ashlee & Pete, join us May 17, 2008, Los Angeles. Transportation will be provided to the wedding. You will be contacted with additional information.”

As for the honeymoon: Pete, said the pair would rather hang out in their Los Angeles basement, with inflatable palm trees, than spend money on an exotic holiday to celebrate their marriage. He said, “We’re going to save that $30,000 you know. We’ve got some blow-up palm trees, a little fake-n-bake tanning booth. We’re eating DiGiorno’s pizza. It’s great. It is sunny and 65 degrees in my head.”
